Figures of Speech Poems

1.     Fear lives in the corner of your house,
Wearing the color of its own shadow,
Waiting to emerge and conquer the empty places of your mind.

Bravery presents itself to me in a box,
It is brown and needs to be opened up,
Then it would show on my face with many colors.

2.     Love blossoms like a rose in a garden,
The color of red on its petals,
Growing day after day until it stops.

As love leaves the garden the rose wilts,
It becoming dull and very grey,
Dead to the world with a broken heart.

3.     Happiness glows from a smile in the sun
Wearing the brightness of the brightest white
Filling your body with its warmness

Sadness brings tears in dark corners
Falling in clear wet streaks down the walls of your inside
Melancholy surrounds your vicinity
